About

Hello there!

I’m Laneia Murray. I'm a student software developer at Ada Developers Academy.

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away ...

Prior to Ada, I worked as a microbiologist doing infectious disease research. I made new diagnostic tools and examined new strains of infectious organisms/particles. Part of my time was spent in science outreach, reforming curricula and grant writing.

Frustrated with the outdated, time-consuming methodologies common in most microbiology labs, I felt that there had to be a better way to help shape the world. Software engineering allows me to translate my research skills into a career path where I can use my love of efficiency to truly make a difference.
